X-Men #203 First Look

Posted by: on August 30, 2007 at 4:23 pm

The X-Men Must Sacrifice Two Of Their Own!

Since the now classic X-Men #200, the X-Men have been on the run from the newly reformed—and deadlier—Marauders! But in X-Men #203, written by acclaimed scribe Mike Carey and featuring the art of Humberto Ramos, the X-Men take the fight to their enemies…by sacrificing two of their own! As Sinister’s new team of Marauders, led by Gambit, seek out the Books Of Destiny, the X-Men make their play to protect this diary of things to come! But as Cannonball and Iceman, who’ve already survived the arduous first confrontation with their rejuvenated enemies, must now walk into a trap they may not survive…or the X-Men will fail!

And in Chapter 13 of Endangered Species, the can’t miss X-Men storyline that has caused multiple X-title sell outs, the Beat and Dark Beast as science crosses the line into…murder?

Fans and critics alike continue to praise X-Men, with Jesse Schedeen of IGN.Com saying, “Mike Carey’s X-Men continues to provide an interesting read.”

As the X-Men move closer to Messiah CompleX, they’ll have to risk everything in order to stop the Marauders and they may not come back from this battle! The final offensive against Sinister’s plans begins in X-Men #203!

Maybe it’s just early, but does this make any sense: “And in Chapter 13 of Endangered Species, the can’t miss X-Men storyline that has caused multiple X-title sell outs, the Beat and Dark Beast as science crosses the line into…murder?” Is there a word missing, maybe?

And also, is this really the best critical feedback they could find: “Fans and critics alike continue to praise X-Men, with Jesse Schedeen of IGN.Com saying, ‘Mike Carey’s X-Men continues to provide an interesting read.’” I mean, “interesting” isn’t exactly a rave review, is it?

Is Beast still in his feline form? Can’t really tell from the art.

Male characters have small heads and giant bodies/arms.

Female characters have enormous eyes and giant watermelonous breasts.

I thought I’d just point that out…

Well, there really are o watermellons in the scans above. (Some people have watermellons, just the rest of em is large too). In the scans you have Kitty and New X-Men with lemon to onion. Emma’s definitely in the grapefruit range, but she’s also the type who might pay for them.

I dont get it!

One minute KITTY was back from their mission (or in the panel above, they hadn’t left yet) and the next she is in NO promo art for any of the upcoming books.

SO this is WEADONS big finish? So damn late that we already know he is gonna kill KITTY?

PLEASE, NO MORE HOLLYWOOD WRITERS!!!
