Currently in development by Studio Gigante, WWE WrestleMania 21 will be the new horse in the stable of console wrestling. If you don’t know who Studio Gigante are, they are the developers of the critically acclaimed Tao Feng for Xbox. Tao Feng sported some very nice graphics as well as real time bruising, bleeding, and target specific limb damage. If WWE WrestleMania 21 is anywhere near as entertaining as Tao Feng, wrestling fanatics will have a ball with this one.
WWE WrestleMania 21 will offer numerous new game modes as well as enhanced graphics. All the story mode cinematics are fully-voiced by WWE Superstars, that is a whole 50% more voiceovers than SmackDown Vs. Raw. Players that have subscribed to Xbox Live have the ability to play multiple match types online as well having a new “Create-a-Belt” feature that allows players to build a championship belt and gain prestige by defending it on Xbox Live.
Motion capture technology has also been used for the Superstars' moves and animations, which is a first for a WWE title. The story mode allows players to upgrade their wrestlers' abilities, entrance, costumes, and even their move repertoire. Like in most of the blockbuster fighting games out there, a reversal system has been incorporated that can be used to combat each and every attack thrown at you.
As of right now, there is not much info floating around about WWE WrestleMania 21, but stay tuned to PCS for further updates as they become available.
