Sounds like the anime is much better than the movie! Has it been licensed by an American distributor, or is it only available through fansubs?

I've become a bit of a Nakahara Fan. I have all of Love*Com except 9 and 10, I've seen all the series and I've started collecting her other works, like Himitsu Kichi. I've even seen a short clip from the Love*Com movie. I'm sorry, I wasn't strong enough watch the whole thing. Wobbling back and forth like a marionette with loose strings is not acting.
The animation, on the other hand, was well enough done, with excellent voice actors. The first few episodes were too crowded and should have been stretched out, and the Maity (They spelled it out in roman letters) sequence was stretched out too far, but over all, it was well done.
While I thought the love story was poorly done, I give the author credit for the humor and willingness to put the characters through the wringer. And I adore Risa.

Sometimes these small shipping lists can be a godsend--it's a challenge to the wallet to stay on top of so many series!

As for the Nana movie, I actually liked it better than the manga. I know this puts me in the minority, but I felt that the story just worked better with music and actors. The soundtrack is surprisingly good, too--and this is coming from someone who generally doesn't like J-Pop! I'll be curious to read your thoughts on Nana.

Wow...that is a small week. I don't feel bad only having one volume coming, Fairy Tail, but I could only get one volume, and everyone keeps going on about how good it is! Even Jason Thompson gave it a glowing review in Otaku USA! Now I'm gonna fall behind...

I love finding bargains like that. Maybe I should become the Bargain Manga Mom. :)

I'm considering checking out Nana the movie. I wasn't really enthusiastic about it, but your continued recommendations is really getting me curious about it.
