Katherine: You ain’t kiddin’ about the discounts! I wouldn’t be reading half the stuff I do without them! I’ve never read Peachpit before Zombie Loan, so it’s not that influencing me. I dunno, the characters just really appealed to me. I’ll find out soon enough though. I got my huge pile (and my earful).

I wish I knew about Manga Life! Being low on the totem means I don’t get the info. I really hope they do though. It was so hard reviewing Dr. Slump. It’s really something that has to be experienced. I’m really glad Viz brought it out.

There are no books for me this week. I looked at your list and found that not one title that I like in this weeks shipment. Oh, thanks for the mention. I did not even get an update to tell me that time was running out on the Halloween sale. I just got the catalog today. I have to take a look. If I see anything interesting I will post it on TP in my week blog sometime.

I’ll let you know what I think, Ed, but I’m very bullish about I, Otaku on the basis of those opening pages. Looks like a bona-fide hoot!

Geh… I am glad to hear you liked how I, Otaku looks so far KDT. As the script adaptor, I think you will find plenty more otaku-goodness in volume 1. But it really goes over the top in volume 2 when the BL and yuri elements/characters are introduced.

I personally think this title is almost too nerdy for its own good. Maybe that’s why I was asked to work on it!!

Thank goodness for membership discounts, eh? I wouldn't have the $$$ left over to buy the latest installment of CLAMP no Kiseki otherwise... I suspect that you're not the only one who's going to disagree with my assessment of Zombie-Loan. There are a lot of Rozen Maiden and DearS fans who have clamoring for this series. I'll be really curious to see what you have to say about this title (and Spiral) over at Manga Life. Speaking of which, I hope y'all start permitting comments. I would have stopped by to say how much I'd enjoyed your recent review of Dr. Slump, a series I've been meaning to try for ages.

Thank godness there’s only two items on the list that I’m getting this week. Junk for my husband, and Otaku USA. I’ve got 13 manga coming this week! I don’t even want to think about the grief my husband’s going to give me about that… I may pick up I, Otaku sometime though. I like the stories about otaku and otaku culture.

And, again you’re dissing another title I ordered! I liked the preview for this one too… But I’ll be finding out for myself, since it’s among the books I’m getting.
