You really can't give much credence to wild speculation like that. One would think that Howard would know that there is no way at all that he'd realistically think it feasible at all to be paid more than the lead actor in the film. Did he want to be paid more? Perhaps. But that rumor about him expecting to be paid more than Downey doesn't even sound like it has any truth behind it when you think about it.
