Voltron Live action gets new legs!!!!

The Risky Biz blog @ Hollywood Reporter tells of the latest scheme to stick the final fork in my poor childhood once and for all, the Voltron live-action movie. Apparently, Atlas Entertainment’s Richard Suckle, Steve Alexander and Charles Roven (”Get Smart”, “The International” and “The Dark Knight”) have acquired the rights from the Mark Gordon Co. to produce Voltron. With the box-office receipts of Transformers 2 still rolling in, Hollywood will probably push another giant robot stinker on us as fast as they can.

I read the article and I’m still a little skeptical about this movie being made. I mean, I read the previous script leaked out back in 08/09 & I HATED IT!!!!!–Voltron taking place in a post apocalyptic earth–WTF!!!! The original story is good enough without them trying to change everything & put it on planet earth. I really hope this new production company who acquired the property will keep Voltron true to his roots. I am a huge fan of Voltron & will really be pissed off if they screw up this film so I really hope & prey they do it right–GO LION!
