Brubaker and Fraction are great writers but Lands art is awful. Not only does he swipe and trace but he's incapable of drawing faces properly. I've cancelled my order for Uncanny, I'll consider ordering it again when they get rid of Land.

I, as a reader, have been very frustrated with the direction of the x universe since the end of morrissons run. what's worse is they retconed a majority of his plots which both enhanced the x-men, fleshed out and redefined them and added nuances of social issues unlike any other x-men writer. not only that, his run drew obvious inspiration from the harry potter novels, which is perhaps the most brilliant literary source to inspire any comic. sadly, marvel let bendis trash the x-books for his own reasons and then ignored one of the best selling comic series of all time.finally, in this issue, I am again seeing the x-men of the 90s where I believe their book found its niche and was mostly in a good place. I don't think the books quite there yet, but this issue is a very good start and accessible to many x-fans who haven't followed the books(except astonishing, thats to popular not to be followed by most x-fans)since morrisson.
P.S. the alex ross cover is soooo sweet!!!
