Ubisoft has announced a new Prince of Persia title. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands surprisingly isn’t an iteration of last year’s reboot and takes place during the previous Prince of Persia Sands of Time storyline.

Last year’s Prince of Persia showed that the team can still innovate, but expect to see some elements of the original series make a return too. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is slated for a release in May 2010 on consoles and handhelds.
