I’m bi-racial in that I’m 75% Italian and 25% Sicilian, which only means something to older Italians. I never quite got the distinction growing up.

To amend my quoted statement:

When I wrote that, I didn’t know Cully Hammer was the artist of the mini-series. My not mentioning him should not be taken as a slam against him. He’s a good artist and, near as I can tell, never having met him, a good guy.

To answer Rich:

If I can survive this year, I should be in position to get back into comics writing…one way or another. Right now, my focus is on family, health, legal, Mid-Ohio-Con, parenting, and other matters.

None of this is cause for alarm, but there are time and physical limits to what I can do right now. I’m optimistic that will change.

To address no one in particular:

No one should feel the need to “alert” me whenever some online idiot disses me over this Black Lightning stuff. I’m deliberately avoiding most discussions on the matter and being very selective in what I choose to respond to.

I wish well to those who wish me well and, honestly, don’t give a crap about those who don’t.
