THE PIT TO PRESENT COMIC BOOK CLUB A LIVE WEEKLY COMIC BOOK TALK SHOW

November 28, 2006 – Iron your capes, unplug the Bat Signal and set your decoder rings on awesome: the Comic Book Club is in session! The Comic Book Club is a weekly comic book talk show featuring the best comedians in New York talking shop with industry professionals from all corners of the comic book world. The show will run Tuesdays at 9:30 PM: December 5, 12, 19; at The PIT, 154 W. 29th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues). The show is sponsored in part by Midtown Comics.

Each week, Justin Tyler, Pete LePage, and Alex Zalben dissect all of the hot button issues in the comic book world through a live discussion talk show, featuring live music, surprise guests and prizes furnished by Midtown Comics. Leave your secret identities at the door! Bring your bags and backing boards because you’re going to want to save this.

Justin Tyler (Tybrus, Sidecar, Cubicle) is an actor and writer. He has written for Jest and Mad Magazine and is the Artistic Director for Pig Brooch Theatre.

Pete LePage is on a house Improv team at The PIT, is a sketch comedy writer for The Nefarious Popes. He is a stand-up comedian who has done warm up for Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn on Comedy Central as well as taught Improv on Blind Date.

Alexander Zalben is a member of the critically acclaimed sketch comedy group Elephant Larry, and the Artistic Director of the Peoples Improv Theater.
