Georges is being far too humble. They don’t call ‘em Graphic Novels for nothing. The artwork in the American Way was simply among the best this year. It’s an honor to be nominated with the series, but it has been even more of an honor to have a partner such as Georges with which to work.

I am proud to be involved in such a great story. I wish I could take more credit, but John Ridley had this story down coming in and all I did was visualize it! i hope he receives recognition for the story, but then I’m bias!

This is a great honor. Thanks very much!

However, it should be noted that Day 8 is adapted from a poem entitled “No Ark” written by Deborah D. Grison.

All of the narration in the comic is from her poem, and she should share the nomination.
