<itunes:subtitle>The live, weekly talk show about comic books!</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>Comic Book Club is a live weekly talk show about, you guessed it, Comic Books, featuring the best comic book creators, and the best comedians around, just hanging out and chatting, with your hosts, Alex Zalben, Justin Tyler, and Pete LePage. This is the audio podcast of that live show, recorded in a theater, in front of an audience, with guests, on a microphone, uploaded to a computer, totally awesome. The show was named a Best of New York 2007 by The New York Press, has been featured in The New York Times, and was nominated for Best Variety Show at the ECNY Awards. The show has welcomed dozens of guests weekly, including: Joe Quesada, Andrew W.K., Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, Scott Adsit, Perry Moore, Timmy Williams, Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker, Klaus Janson, Greg Pak, Mike Oeming, Dan Slott, Alex Robinson, Cecil Castelluci, Jimmy Palmiotti, Bill Willingham, and many more. Check them out live every Tuesday at 8:00pm!</itunes:summary>

Chronicles of Hip Hop: Knowledge From the Streets GN (Zenescope)

Got a preview of this at San Diego – it’s an anthology of stories inspired by classic rap songs. Special Forces #3 (of 6). Story and art by Baker.
Heroes for Hire #15
New Warriors #5. Written by Grevioux.
Shanna TSD: Survival of the Fittest #3 (of 4). Pencils by Evans.
Thor #4. Pencils by Coipel.
Uncanny X-Men #491. Is Storm down for the count?
Punisher #51. The Barracuda arc continues.
X-Factor Visionaries: Peter David V3 TP. Some art by Stroman.
Blade: Sins of the Father TP

BOOK OF THE MONTH:
Jumper: Jumpscars (Oni)

Sam Jackson’s got a sci-fi film due out in early 2008 called Jumper, reuniting him with his Star Wars co-star Hayden Christensen. This comic will serve as a prequel of sorts. I feel I should also mention that the creative team of Nunzio DeFilippis, Christina Weir and Brian Hurtt is a fantastic one. They’re the ones who did the graphic novel Three Strikes, which I’ve recommended here, so I’m convinced this will be a way-better-than-average movie-tie-in.

Other notables:
Special Forces #1 (of 6). Kyle Baker’s wartime satire mini-series.
New Avengers: Civil War TP. Includes the very popular Luke Cage solo story.
Bomb Queen IV #1 (of 4). Jimmie Robinson returns with his supervillain protagonist for a fourth go-round.
Amazons Attack #5-6. Pencils by Woods.
Outsiders: Five of a Kind Week 3 – Thunder/Martian Manhunter. Some crap involving the Outsiders and Batman.
Nightwing #135. Pencils by Igle.
Batman Confidential #8. Pencils by Cowan.
Justice V3 HC, Flash TFMA #15, Paradise X V2 TP. Pencils by Braithwaite.
Welcome to Tranquility #9
Repo #3 (of 5)
The Ride: Die Valkyrie #3 (of 3). Art by Stelfreeze.
Marvel Illustrated: Treasure Island #3 (of 6). Pencils by Gully.
Black Panther #30. Written by Hudlin.
Avengers Classic #3, Fantastic Four #549. Written by McDuffie.
Uncanny X-Men #489. Storm returns with her old X-buddies for this story arc.
Blade #12. Final issue.
Heroes for Hire #13, Heroes for Hire: Ahead of the Curve TP. Oh noes! It’s the issue with The Cover!!!
New Warriors #3. Written by Grevioux.
Shanna the She-Devil: Survival of the Fittest #1 (of 4). Pencils by Evans.
Thor #2. Pencils by Coipel.
