Series creators/executive producers Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak explained that the award-winning actress and sci-fi icon will play the role of Mary Bartowski, the long-missing mother of Chuck (Zachary Levi) and Ellie (Sarah Lancaster). Mary has been absent from the siblings lives since they were young. Mary’s resurfacing this season leads Chuck to discover that her life has been shrouded in secrets. She was a spy, a CIA agent … One thing is certain: She’s not the soccer mom who left her children so many years ago. In addition to her recurring role on Chuck,  Hamilton will guest star in the upcoming season of Weeds.

Season 4 is set to premiere Monday, September 20, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. If you need to play catch up, Warner Home Video will release Chuck: The Complete Third Season on Blu-ray™ and DVD on September 7.

With San Diego Comic-Con rapidly heading towards us like an out of control meteor bent on revenge, we thought it would be fun to put together a video detailing some simple Comic-Con rules, in the form of “Do’s” and “Dont’s.” And then, rather late in the game, we thought it would be fun to ask for all of your help. So here’s the deal:

- Submit your short, pithy, ridiculous, super-smart pieces of advice to us in the form of do’s and dont’s. Meaning, “DO buy comic books. DON’T buy 300 graphic novels unless you own a fork-lift.”

- You can do one or the other, or both. We’ll make sure to fill in the gaps.

- You can submit by posting a comment here; replying to our Twitter feed (twitter.com/comicbooklive); or e-mailing us at comicbookclublive@gmail.com.

- If you’re feeling super ambitious, you can tape a piece of video yourself (webcam, or whatever), and send us a link (again, post a comment, on Twitter, or to our e-mail), and as long as it’s download-able or rippable (I can grab videos from YouTube, and most other sites), we’ll incorporate it in the episode.

- Here’s the catch: all suggestions, responses, and especially video need to get to us by Wednesday AM, so I have time to edit ‘em in.

Favorite Announcement: David Lafuente on Ultimate Comics Spider-Man with Brian Michael Bendis. Lafuente has been blowing my mind with near perfect work on Patsy Walker: Hellcat, and Ultimate Spider-Man Annual #3. Bendis’ Ultimate Spider-Man is, month after month, the most consistent book Marvel has (possibly ever) published. Putting them together makes me giddy with glee.

Favorite Sneak-Peek: Neil Gaiman and Andy Kubert’s “What Ever Happened to the Caped Crusader.” Again, if I can get past these annoying tech problems, you’ll see our advanced review of it. But suffice to say, get yourself to the comic shop this week; it’s one of the best Batman stories ever written.

Favorite Picture: That one is easy, it’s tiny Wolverine:

Also, Pete was there.

Favorite Overheard Phrase: I didn’t even hear this one, it was just related to me, but on a commission some guy was getting:

“I like the way he’s grabbing her boobs, but I don’t like her eyes. She looks too surprised, and Captain America doesn’t rape people.”

Favorite Interview: That was actually Pete talking to DMC, of Run/DMC (it’s mind-blowingly good, no joke), but Joss Whedon and Tahmoh Penikett (Helo from Battlestar) in the booth at the same time? I nearly threw up and died.
