Thor VS Iron Man—‘Nuff Said!

Because you demanded it, the God of Thunder battles the Armored Avenger in Thor #3! Following the first two sold-out issues of this brand new series, acclaimed scribe JMS and red-hot penciler Olivier Coipel bring you the much demanded confrontation between Thor and Iron Man, raising the stakes for both heroes! During Civil War, Tony Stark and his allies produced a deadly clone of Thor, which not only ravaged many heroes, but killed the Avenger known as Goliath. Now that Thor has returned in earnest, it’s time for a reckoning with his former teammate and that means all out action! Featuring two covers—one by Copiel and one by superstar Ed McGuinness—and a confrontation that will move heaven, earth and Asgard, this is the issue of Thor you can’t miss!

“The landscape of the Marvel Universe has changed radically in the past few years, and Thor now returns to a post-civil War environment which has seen hero face off against hero, registration become law, and is, all in all, a remarkably different America from the one that he left,” explained series editor Warren Simons. “His first encounter with Iron Man is going to address some of these points, especially the question of what happens when you take a God’s genetic code without his permission.”

Critics and fans alike continue to praise this electrifying new series, with Brent Specher of SilverBulletComics.Com gushing, “J. Michael Straczynski is an excellent storyteller… Coipel infuses energy into every scene.”

With the first two issues selling out almost immediately, Marvel urges retailers to check their orders on Thor #3. And don’t miss your second chance to pick up Thor #2, now with a new wraparound cover featuring the interior art of Olivier Coipel. Plus, get a special look at the past, present and future of Thor, with loads of exclusive content, in Marvel Spotlight: Thor!

Two of Earth’s mightiest heroes wage war—and you won’t believe the outcome in Thor #3!

The Mighty Thor Makes An Electrifying Return!

When Marvel’s mighty God of Thunder known as Thor disappeared while saving Asgard from Ragnarok, fans clamored for his return and this July their wish is granted in the brand new ongoing series Thor. Featuring scripts by award-winning scribe J. Michael Straczynski (Amazing Spider-Man) and rich, detailed art by superstar Olivier Coipel (House of M), this new ongoing series brings back Thor to the Marvel Universe—no clones, no robots, because this is the real deal!

What happened to Thor after Ragnarok? Who was the man that picked up the mighty hammer known as Mjolnir? And what about that little skirmish known as Civil War? The Marvel Universe isn’t the same place Thor left and when he returns, he might not be the same either!

“Blake will be back, stronger and more of a real character than in the past, and Thor will begin the process of trying to locate and restore the rest of the Asgardians, with mixed results,” revealed JMS. “And the throwdown between him and Iron Man will be huge.”

It’s the return of Dr. Donald Blake, the return of Thor and the return of…well, we can’t give it all away, can we? Featuring covers by both Olivier Coipel and Michael Turner, this red-hot issue is the perfect jumping-on point for fans new & old. You know where Thor’s been, but you’ll never guess where he’s going!

And did we mention that Arthur Suydam (Marvel Zombies) will be providing a special Zombie variant cover, available in stores July 25th?
