I agree mainly with TheBigN here – I don’t regret buying the book, and it was silly fun. However, I feel that there was much missed potential. Banno doesn’t seem to have a good grasp on sequential plots; for example, there’s a series of strips leading up to a cultural-fair thing, and then there seems to be no strips about the actual fair itself. The characters are also sort of confusing, being thrown at you faster than they can be developed. All in all, an OK read, but not what I was hoping.

I found it silly fun, so I don’t regret buying the book. Even though it was about teachers, it didn’t really focus on that, but I didn’t really have any problems with that. Nor did I care that it wasn’t like Azumanga because that wasn’t what I was looking for either. :P

As lame as it was, it had enough romantic things dangling in the air that I’d probably read another volume just to see how things progress. Not that I have high hopes, of course.

Yea i was sort of hoping for the same thing when it came to SS Astro. I mean the name even sounds good. Sadly though, it wasn’t what we want. Good review however.

I like Azumanga okay, and thought this would be a better, more mature version. I was sorely mistaken.

Ha I get to review “Suzunari” soon and yea its “boobtastic”. Its funny that Yen Press decided it would be a good idea to just make raunchier a Azumanga Daioh.
