Wow, I didn't notice baby girl Storm in there either. Let's hope Fred is right and this movie will be as good as the two minutes of explosions and orchestral strings promises....

Rich,

I understand your concern about Fox going overboard with cameos. On the other hand, in terms of gross, X3 was the most popular X-Men flick despite the army of mutant bit characters. (Hmmm...maybe that's the reason for the cameos in "Wolverine.")

However, what might save "Wolverine" is the nature of its plot. After seeing the trailer, I instantly thought "Bourne Identity with mutants" to describe the movie. Unlike the X-films, "Wolverine" has to be a more personal story, which allows more character development instead of emphasis on epic battles against global-level threats.

So, if Fox stays out the way, the director of "Wolverine" could balance the "Easter Eggs" with keeping focus on Logan's quest.

Regarding young Storm in WOLVERINE, the early talk I've seen seems largely centered on how this will fit into movie continuity - things like who remembers who and who doesn't by the start of the first X-MEN movie, since we know that Logan's memories of his early days will become fuzzy.

One thing I don't like about Fox's approach with WOLVERINE is how they've overstuffed it with fan favorite characters like Gambit and Deadpool, and now younger versions of Storm and Cyclops. Sure, there are plenty of mutants to choose from if they decide to make more X-films, but my fear is that here, like with X3, they're in danger of blowing their wad on underdeveloped cameos and bit parts just to appease the fanboys.

Yes, the trailer looks hot. But let us not forget - this is Fox. They have a recent history of needless meddling.

That Storm shot above proves why Glyphs is among the best blogs for comic book news.

And, yes, this movie looks like it will rock!
