the “who do you trust” tagline brings back horrible memories of the civil war – pardon, war between the states. i mean capes. whatever. the point is that i’ve been buying both the new avengers and the illuminati since issue one and i’ve been waiting for something huge to blow them open. for my money this looks pretty awesome. although it does seem early for hype, i’ll grant that marvel has probably been sitting on this whole event way longer than they would like to, so i guess i’ll forgive a little overexposure here and there. it just seems kind of vulgar after the slow and careful plotting bendis had used previous to this.

still, answers are good, even if i have to wait until 2008. i’ll be off looking for clues in my back issues ’til then.

Why is every tagline a question all of a sudden?

Marvel’s trailers blow. A short article would’ve done better than a shitty flash animation of mostly old comic covers.

Because questions demand answers, and when you answer – voila, instant reader involvement.
