SCEA Ships 1M PS3s In North America

Sony has announced that they have shipped more than one million PS3s in North America before 2006 ended. This milestone was achieved much sooner than the PS2. This may explain why all the retailers we’ve been calling have said that they’ve had PS3s in stock for the past week and can’t sell them. Meanwhile, demand for the Nintendo Wii remains high with the system still unavailable.
