It&#039;s interesting that Fantagraphics has chosen this format to compete with manga, if that was the plan. Surely they could have gone with a digest-sized books, like Marvel&#039;s Runaways...</description>

I tried a few titles including &quot;Baobob,&quot; which Fantagraphics claimed would appeal to manga readers. (Because the first issue was set in Japan, I guess?) I thought some of the images were quite lovely, but the accompanying narrative was so self-consciously literary that I decided not to collect it.</description>
