I've read all the updates on the manga, and I gotta tell you, it starts pretty slow, but its worth the wait...

I don't when I first became aware of this tendency--probably watching The Brothers McMullin, which had more than its share of unnatural howlers--but it never ceases to amuse me. The funny thing about Alive, however, is that the expository clumsiness only occurs when the author is trying to tell us a little more about his characters; the viral intrigue is done with a lot more art.

It’s a bit like my husband telling me he’s “off to work at the investment bank where I’ve been employed for these last five years.”

You mean not everyone talks like that? I knew my formative years of reading exposition-heavy superhero comics scarred me.
