Gamers that have been waiting for a little extra oomph in their Resident Evil 5 experience won’t have to wait much longer. Capcom has announced that the Versus mode will be made available for download on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network on April 7, 2009.

Versus allows up to four players to compete in online battles across two game types. Slayer?s Rule is a point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis, while in Survivor?s Rule, players hunt each other.

Versus mode will be available for 400 points on Xbox Live and $4.99 on PlayStation Network.
