This movie looks like it should be an amazing visual treat, and as long as they don’t go overboard fleshing out Miller’s, er, spartan story, it should easliy outdo Gladiator. Methinks I’ll have to give it the V for Vendetta treatment after I see it this weekend, hopefully on IMAX.

UPDATE: I couldn’t see it myself, but CHUD has posted a screen capture of the alleged hidden frame (1:52)featuring a test shot of Watchmen’s Rorshach, Zack Snyder’s next project.

As much as I’m looking forward to 300, I’m dreading the Watchmen adaptation as I don’t think there’s any way to do the story — dated and somewhat overrated as it is — justice in under 3 hours. An HBO mini-series? Hell yes. A Hollywood summer blockbuster? No way.

I’d much rather see American Way hit the silver screen!
