QT Planning a Kill Bill Trilogy?

From EW’s Popwatch blog:
“Speaking on an Italian talk show Parla Con Me, Quentin Tarantino confirms his plans to make a Kill Bill 3. The writer/director — whose last film Inglourious Basterds has generated over $245 million in worldwide box office — says that he will make another installment of his successful Kill Bill series, but that he wants there to be a 10-year break between the second and third film. That would put Kill Bill 3 with a 2014 release date and his star Uma Thurman at 44, just the right age to kick more ass.”
I think this is a potentially neat idea…but then again, I would be happy if QT would just sign off on that super-deluxe “Complete Epic” single-disc DVD version of Kill Bill 1 and 2. And besides, Bill has been Killed. What else is there to tell?

There’s always something to tell, when it comes to revenge stories.
It’s the classic revenge story. Vernita Green got killed in front of her younger daughter, so yes, in the cycle of revenge movies, such as KB is, The Beatrice will get her come uppance soon enough, and Vernita’s daughter will have hit her 20’s which, the original actress will be and exact revenge on her fallen mother.
QT has ALWAYS said that this is the case, and that he plans to revisit the story to tell the last bit of revenge. I think the first interview he did for KB Vol. 1 he said that he’s going to do a second part to it. Technically I’m counting Vol. 1 and 2 as one film because really, that’s what they are. I just hope by the time he does it, Uma and more importantly Zoe Bell will still be able to pull of the crazy stunts.
OF course, Kiddo’s kid will also be of age to kick some ass.
So like I said, there’s always story to tell, and I’m not sure why it’s being spread around in the last day or two like it’s a surprise when this is something he’s always maintained at doing when the time is right.
And I’d be happy too for The Whole Bloody Affair, but only if it’s on blu-ray.
