PS3 Remote Play Features Announced
Posted by: Howard Brown on October 19, 2006 at 5:53 pm
Sony demonstrated their “Remote Play” feature of PS3 today. The term is used for the functionality between the PSP and PS3 systems. By switching the PS3 into Remote Play mode from the Cross Media Bar (XMB) players will be able to access a number of features and content types from the PS3 on their PSPs. For example, you’ll be viewing the PS3 XMB on your PSP. You’ll be able to watch your video trailers (resuming exactly from the same point you left off from your PS3 mind you), listen to music and view photos stored on your PS3 units.
This will be available to you from anywhere in your wireless hotspot and someday anywhere else in the world.

What a fucking Wii copier. They copy everything from nintendo because they can’t think of anything good.
FUCK YOU PS3
lew thinks you're a 12 yr old moron December 15th, 2006
If it is a good idea why shouldn’t they copy it? I would think that in order to make the best console they can they would want to take the best features from previous playstation models as well as the Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360 and PC’s. That just makes sense. I am confused at how this could upset you. If you like the Wii better get a Wii, if you like the PS3 better get a PS3, but don’t get mad when a competitor comes out with a better product then the one you have already invested in.

joe’s just mad cause he cannot afford to buy a ps3. lol.

hes also just mad cause nintendo didnt want to continue with the SNES CD system. (Partner Sony) Hence The Playstion was born. And Look Whos #1 Now :P. I love both companies BTW

They didn’t Joe, PS1 first came out in 95 and had 3D gaming and the next year N64 start to do the same, also with analog stick, and also PS2 had DVD on the console, you can’t just say XBOX orginal got DVD because they copy sony you fucking retarded, it’s called TECHNOLOGY!!

hahhaha I agree with you Chris!!

Joe got burned..ahahaha but really PS3 copied it? Nintendo went backwards with the Wii, sure it has a cool remote? But what about graphics and power? Its not even considered Next Generation. But hey, atleast it didnt “copy” the 360 and the PS3 with it’s DVD functionality. Sure it can play games, but can it play DVD Movies (or HD Movies or even Blu-Ray Movies)? I dont think so.

Well, the Xbox 360 can do HD DVD’s but it needs to have another $200 spent on it first, but besides that, I agree with everyone here, the Wii did take a step backwards but I think most of all Joe is just mad because he paid $250 for a system that in a few months will have nothing for it. Once the fun of the controller is gone, the fun of the system will be gone. The Wii is a system for kids, the PS3, that is a system that will be around for a while (look at Sony’s previous systems). The Wii doesn’t stand a chance and I’m not just saying this because I own a PS3, I’m saying this because every time Sony has put out a system, everyone has bashed it, but somehow they always pull out ahead with the systems that they have because the games you can get with them rock and always seem to take full advantage of the system. Just give the PS3 some time, wait till the next generation of games start coming out….Then you’ll see all the little Wii owners start crying because they got burned!
