BOOK OF THE MONTH:
Blokhedz V1 TP (Pocket Books)
I got to flip through the Pocket Books collection of the original Blokhedz mini at the New York Comic-Con, and this new version looks quite impressive. At the Black Panel the Davis Brothers showed a Blokhedz animation test that, if it eventually becomes a full-fledged animated show or film, will raise their popularity through the roof. These guys are The Next Big Thing, so pick this book up now because they’re the real deal. (And check out our interview with the Davises and Brandon Schultz in UVC as well.)
Other notables:
Fantastic Four #544. Black Panther and Storm. Ben and Johnny. Nuff said! Written by Dwayne McDuffie.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1. GCA nominee Georges Jeanty hooks up with Joss Whedon in continuing the adventures of everyone’s favorite blond vampire slayer.
