Sci-Fi Channel has ordered 22 episodes of Painkiller Jane, to begin filming in Vancouver in November. Based on the comic book created by Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti, the series will follow the story of a female Marine who gains superhuman healing abilities from a biological weapon. The pilot film, which aired last year, starred Emmanuelle Vaugier and Tate Donovan, although there is no word on whether either actor will return for the series.
