First, it’s cool that Jackie Ormes is finally getting the bio treatment. This cartooning legend is long overdue for such recognition.
Second, Hancock looks like it should be a fun change for Smith. If the trailer is any hint, the movie is cut from the same cloth as comic X-Force/X-Statix, which also used superheroes to satirize America’s celebrity worship.
One more thing. Here is an article at Newsarama about whether Hancock (a.k.a. Tonight He Comes) is part of a new trend in Hollywood to create superhero flicks NOT based on comics:
