“I hate to admit this, but when I found out it was Nichelle who would be Nana, I was like ‘Shut up!’ I was so excited. I called everyone. My mom was more excited that I was working with Nichelle than I was working on Heroes. She wanted me to tell her ‘I said hi!’ But I was like, you can’t go up to a big star and say, ‘My mom says hi.’ It was surreal. She has so much grace and beauty. It’s a real treat. I’m a big fan. I don’t get star struck too often. It’s cool to be in her presence.”
