Michael Avon Oeming has confirmed that he will be writing Thor with Andreas Di Vito providing art. In his latest newsletter he writes:

"Yes, the rumors are true, I am writing the Mighty Thor for Marvel Comics. A six issue run that will be sort of touch stone to the series over all. We'll also get to see some of the Avengers make an appearance as well. We hope to make our mark on the series with this story arc. Andrea Di Vito (Brath) is doing an AMAZING art job on the book."
