If they play the film for laughs, I hope it's more "Hitch" sauveness than "Men in Black" ministrely. I just hated how Smith was degraded in "MiB." One moment he was a smart, tough cop, and the next he was a goofy, sidekick. At this point in career, Smith needs to just follow the Denzel path and not the Chris Tucker path of buffonery. Sorry if my words are rough but as a man of color, it gets really disappointing to see Stepin Fetchit routines in the 2000s.
