I’m still entirely comfortable with the gender-bending costume fake-out, but I’m startled just how incredible this looks!

And hey! Who needs the Avengers in the Avengers book? Pffft!

but… ^_^
Mr LEINIL FRANCIS YU is a very important artist, and the Moebius’s style in this comicbook is a confirming of is evolution.

Ronin is some woman called Echo? I was totally convinced that Ronin was going to turn out to be Daredevil in another costume.
In Avengers: Breakout, he said he didn’t want his legal battles to involve the Avengers, and wasn’t going to join as Daredevil.

Ah, well.

Fantastic art, though…

I thinl of the current bendis bunch new avengers echo and luke cage have the highest possibility of remaining members long after bendis run. I hope the echo/elektra fight is as bloody as pride/mustangs fight in FMA. this is probably unrealistic of me but bendis can be very good at writing graphic violence. the art reminds me of david macks with a touch of manga style which is appropriate for an echo story. I was going to drop this title but now I seriously won’t be. disassembeled showed bendis can write stand alone stories and do it well. Rereading the breakout arc he really didn’t butcher them with woody allen-esque dialogue which was amazing for him. I think he really tanked the possibly great House of M which would have been better with civl-war writer mark millar co-writing. scratch that, they might have written doom as dracula jr. with hooved feet or whatever that was. what I don’t think bendis gets enough credit for is makinthis series unprecedentedly popular. I wonder if he’ll come in here and rip on me for some minor grammatical error like the powers letter pages. I find it ironic since according to quesada all his scripts are filled with spelling errors.

my vote for ronin 2 goes to shang-chi. whoever’s in the costume is going to have little to any superpowers and rely mainly on fighting technique. chi was trained by his immortal father to be very much like the ninja that existed hundreds of years ago and is a spy for MI6. a character like that that combines bruce lee and james bond just screams avengers material. having a ras al ghul type as a father definetly adds even more story potential. my second choice would be blade, definitely has the same street level vibe as the other new avengers and is definitely wolverines equal in powers and fighting technique in case logan ever gets brainwashed again(seems to be very easy). I would like to add that one of the best things about shang is he isn’t a trigger happy killer. blade also presents an interesting side of this as he only kills creatures he finds inhuman. this could be comparable to a racist killing members of a minority group they look down upon. the fact blades a damphir makes this fact even more interesting. It will likrly be something stupid like bullseye or jubilee(i’m not kidding)

They’re doing the Ronin thing again? How weak. The first twenty issues consisted of 7 issue arcs concluding with hardly anything happening. Then several issues of CW stuff that wasn’t very exciting. Forget it.

according to bendis we will know who ronin 2 is by the end of 27. the most likely candidates are hawkeye or elektra but i’m really hoping for shang-chi or blade to become avengers.
