I really shouldn't be reading MPD Psycho at my age, but the story is so compelling and... Well, I wouldn't say that it is the story that makes most people read it as much as the morbidness and gruesomeness that makes up the manga. For me, I am attracted to the sort of psychedelic and chilling feelings that it shoots up your spine and head.

I love the last paragraph of your review. The last sentence actually made me laugh out loud, mostly because I can't figure out why you juxtaposed Hot Fuzz and Adaptation. Also, as a way to end a review it was kind of bizarre. Do you have ADD or have you watched so many disturbing films that your mind has cracked or what?

To jag off on a different tack, despite two people saying so I can't really see much of a similarity between MPD Psycho and Death Note. Also, your onion-skin model of the two glosses over the fact that MPD Psycho is essentially an episodic Monster of the Week format, while Death Note builds much more organically from its premise.

So i'm not the only person who found the similarities between MPD Psycho and Death Note. My freind bought MPD Psycho and I checked it out now i'm searching every bookstore I go to, to find it. I still havn't found it because they sold out of it... Being a Death Note fan at heart and finding a book so similar to it I was jumping for joy at the thought of it!

The onion graphic is priceless, and should be required reading for all aspiring screenwriters. I'm not sure I have the intestinal fortitude to read MPD Psycho, but I certainly enjoyed your review.
