Mortal Kombat 3 Shooting in September?

Chalk this up as talk from loose lips, off-handed reporting, or a little of both. Martial artist Chris Casamassa, the guy behind the mask of Scorpion in the Mortal Kombat movies, told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune that he would be reprising his role as scorpion in a new Mortal Kombat movie being filmed in September.
You can read the full article here, but keep in mind that there was no direct quote. The writer of the article was discussing Casamassa’s life and martial arts school, and the Mortal Kombat reveal was more of a side note. We’ll follow up to see if there’s a story here considering that even IMDB has very little on the project.
Could there be a new film since Warner Bros has shown interest in the property? Perhaps this is mocap for a new game? Either way, we’ll keep you posted.

Seeing how WB just paid $33M for the rights to Midway assets including MK, I would think they’d want to do a movie. Unless they spent all that money to lock up stuff like Joust and Spy Hunter

MORTAL KOMBAT IS NOT FILMING IN SEPTEMBER.
Actor and Stuntman Chris Casamassa got all the sources wrong so the third Mortal Kombat movie will not be filming in September and Lawrence Kasanoff was in the talks of getting Midway over the franchise but they lose to Warner Bros who now own the Midway games so there is no word on Warner making the third movie at the moment only when time will come.
I really like to see the new Mortal Kombat movie reboot
but I don’t know if Larry Kasanoff is still attached to produce the film plus there will be some fresh castin the mix some actors like Laura Vandervoort Jon Patrick Foo,Shin Koyamada and Cam Gigandet should get into Mortal Kombat and maybe Natalie Martinez,Aoni Ma and other new actors for the remake.Sounds cool.
Thank You.
