This trailer for this movie has been posted in various forms online for the better part of a year. Maybe even longer. Michael Jai White *deserves* success. This guy was shackled with one of the crappiest super hero movies ever in SPAWN. Had his entire scene CUT from Kill Bill 2 (which is particularly devastating because Kill Bill 2 is a martial arts movie and Quentin is a career MAKER), and his own fantastic martial arts movie, Blood and Bones – nobody has friggin’ SEEN because it doesn’t have adequate distribution.

It took Tyler Perry to see that Michael Jai White is so talented that he took the chance and put the him in a dramatic/comedic role (Why Did I Get Married) just so people would start taking notice. Michael Jai White is never mentioned when people talk about future Black Panther casting, Luke Cage casting, or any awesome ensemble action movie (The Expendables, anyone??), and it’s a criminal offense that he isn’t. When the BLADE television series launched, why Michael Jai White wasn’t an immediate replacement for Wesley Snipes is…shameful.

Anyway, Black Dynamite is finally coming to theaters. Loving this new cut of the trailer. I can’t stop laughing. This movie is going to be a hit. If this isn’t a star-turn for the brother, I don’t know what is.

You are so right! MJW rules in this movie! Check out the related “Drugs Are Fun” and “Black Firecracker” virals from the Black Dynamite folks — I died laughing to the point that I could barely type this!

Wait, Michael Jai White was supposed to be in Kill Bill? Wait, Michael Jai White is in Black Dynamite!?

I love MJW. If Spawn had been better, he would have been set. He’s fought his way back though. He had a minor role in The Dark Knight, but it was so damn great to see him!

I saw him in a Michele Yeoh movie I rented, and I didn’t even know he was supposed to be in that, either. I love being surprised.

Yup, it’s true. MJW’s cut scene was goofy and probably didn’t fit in the movie anyway, but the guy still deserves his moment. If memory holds, he also played Tyson and was in Universal Soldier 2….
