Martial artist-turned-actor Michael Jai White (Spawn) is joining the cast of Christopher Nolan’s follow-up to Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, according to MTV. White will play Gamble, one of the many aspiring crime bosses looking to take Carmine Falcone’s place in the new film’s storyline. Rap artist David Banner had been vying for the role.

The Dark Knight is currently in production, and set for a July 18, 2008 release.
