PlayStation 3 is readying up for BioWare’s latest installment to their award-winning RPG franchise. The news went down today at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany with an announcement trailer detailing release for Sony’s console in January 2011. Mass Effect 2 is currently the highest rated game of 2010 for the Xbox 360 console and PC. The PlayStation 3 edition will include the full Mass Effect 2 game and hours of bonus content, making this the perfect introduction to BioWare’s award-winning action RPG franchise.

Gamers have been anticipating the inclusion of the Mass Effect series to the PlayStation system for months since BioWare become a division of EA Games and their patience finally pays off.
