The fact that the mangaka is a woman explains a lot! I thought that the writer had a good understanding of how girls would react emotionally in the story’s situations. Thinking it was a guy, I was impressed. Now it makes more sense.

Actually, the mangaka is a woman. I’d never have guessed but the lines really are softer than you’re average shounen style.
