It's almost as if "rape-fantasy" is a genre in Japan. I guess my main gripe is that this sort of scene appears frequently in BL. Why? It's almost a rarity when it <i>doesn't</i> happen, or when it's treated as the crime it is, and that's why reviewers tend to point out those cases as noteworthy. There are readers, though, that just look at it from a fantasy perspective so it does not ruin their enjoyment. People loved The Sopranos, but that kind of violence exists in real life and kills real people. Of course we wouldn't enjoy it by watching it happen in real life.
