By: Melinda Beasi

SAN FRANCISCO (TK) — America’s family-friendly eco-cartoon “Gorilla in the Greenhouse,” produced by San-Francisco based green digital media company SustainLane Media, has found a new home—halfway around the world. Beginning July 4, a new, Japanese-subtitled version of “Gorilla in the Greenhouse” will be on display at the GreenEXPO in Yokohama, Japan. Thereafter, the Japanese-subtitled “Gorilla in the
Greenhouse” will be available on GreenTV Japan (www.japangreen.tv/).
“We launched Gorilla in the Greenhouse and GreenGorilla.com to share the important message of eco-responsibility with a young audience in a fun, captivating and unique way,” says James Elsen, SustainLane Media CEO. “The ideals of green living are universal, and they are sure to resonate in Japan. The GreenEXPO is a great way to kick off this new venture with GreenTV Japan, and we are thrilled to introduce Gorilla in the Greenhouse to the global scene.”
The GreenEXPO (greenexpo.jp) runs July 4-5, with more than 30,000 attendees and 300 companies and groups expected. “Gorilla in the Greenhouse” will be on display at the Green Kids Zone, Event State and
GreenTV booth in the Green Media Zone.
The first episode of “Gorilla in the Greenhouse” will debut on GreenTV Japan this week, with the second episode on the site the week of June 29.
GreenGorilla.com features activities for kids, such as coloring and games, as well as the ”Gorilla in the Greenhouse” episodes. The first episode launched to coincide with Earth Day 2008. Teachers’ curriculums are available for both episodes.
