Midpoint Trade Books, the distributor for Fanfare/Potent Mon, has begun a new book blog, pressing digressions.

From their press release:

pressing digressions is what you read when you know you should be reading something a little more “pressing”, but can’t look away.

We, Midpoint Trade Books, a book distributor with a focus on sales and marketing, have recently begun an internship program where our interns’ main job is to run this blog. They write what they want to write, say what they want to say and post what they want to post. They take a chance in adding another voice to the book noise that exists out there.

Our first intern, John Duda, a creative writing major at Brooklyn College, expresses himself weekly here, speaking on a myriad of topics that range from news on our books to smelly people on the subway.

The goal of this blog is to have the stereotyped, “lowly intern”, contribute to the book world he has just joined. We want their new ideas, their fresh take and their innovative views on books. We want them, at the end of their internship, to look back and honestly say, “Hey, I did that.” We want them to add their accomplishments to their résumés and be proud of their work- their own work, not just assisting others.

pressing digressions is constantly updated with Midpoint book news, book news in general and fun book topics. Check back every week or every day- there will always be something new and interesting.

Be sure to make comments, add us to your blogroll and suggest us to your friends!
