Thanks for the lesson on the different genre. I see that I like all the male type manga genres. I read at least one Seinen series and almost all of my other manga are Shonen. I may own one or two Shojo.
Muscular works for me. I remember watching the series somewhere (VHS back then) and Ryo's friend Ken was in that series. But I could not find the ending anywhere. Now it is hard to find in DVD so I am out of luck.
Again thanks for the lesson.

Ahhh... I haven't seen either of the Alpha anime's yet, much to my dismay. :(

In the anime Street Fighter Alpha there was confrontation between Akuma and Ryu. Unfortunately this showdown is the last scene from this movie and only shows the beginning of the fight.

Shonen (or shounen) is basically manga at aimed a male teens. Shojo's manga aimed at female teens. Seinen's aimed at adult males, and Josei's aimed at adult females. Most of the popular action manga in the US at the moment are shonen series. Naruto, Bleach, Prince of the Tennis, DBZ, One Piece, etc. All shonen. While wikipedia isn't always 100% accurate, it's a good place to get a general feel for stuff, and they do have a section for each of the "genres" above, usually with a list of titles.

I've seen a few of the Street Fighter anime's, they can be hit or miss but I generally enjoy them. I've been watching the SFII V series that Sci-Fi's been running, but that's the only SF series I've seen so far.

Bulky's the best term I could come up with. Maybe.. muscular..? They are street fighters so muscle's kind of to be expected. If you want to take a look Capcom posted a short preview back when it was first coming out.

The link for the preview should be there.

Glad you liked the review though!

Ok, so can someone teach me the different genre in manga. I have been trying to figure this out for awhile now and you use shounen. Is this the action type manga? Oh and have you ever seen the anime? I had to stop watching due to the foul language that was used. I don't remember the foul language when I had the series on VHS. This is another great review but I don't think I will read it. Bulky people do not appeal to me. If you are going to do something like that make them more human looking. There are all shapes and sizes in real life. Nuff said.
