This is a great review. The comparison to Sandman is a good one, and now you've got me thinking about the two of them. They're not exactly alike in almost any way, but they do resemble each other somehow. Definitely in the way they both excel at depicting the surreal, but there are probably other things too that I just can't put my finger on at the moment.

And you're right about Clyde, too. He's a great character, and I didn't even think about the hair smoothing being a nervous tic. It's just part of what he does, just like his smile and mannerisms. I liked just about everything about him, and I'm really looking forward to what he does with the situation at the end of the volume.
