best trade ive picked up lately. the mesh of art styles is great device to move the characters into bigger pictures. thanks for mentioning the organic chapters, that has to be what turned me out the quickest. havent picked vol2 up yet, but im sure its builds in the same rhythm.

David, yep! That was actually the first thing I read from him sadly. I've known about his Dirty Pair work for years but I never bothered to give it a look. Kind of regretting that now they seem to be out of print. Ah well. But yeah, loved Livewires and his recent Iron Man: Hypervelocity mini as well. Hope they give him something else to do next year.

Ken, did you read Warren’s Livewires from Marvel? It’s probably one of the best things they’ve published in the last ten years.

David: The first volume is the perfect example of this too. Actually watching it grow from a gag strip into something with well rounded characters and believable relationships, wow. Warren’s good, real good.

I’ll just add my agreement. It’s everything Ken said it is, which seems virtually impossible, given that it’s about a scantily clad super-heroine who gets tied up a lot, but… it is.

I have seen somebody pimping this work before (was it you?) and had the chance to check it out a bit. I was pleasantly surprised by what i saw. I think that i’ll definately go and give this one a chance.
