Kevin Grevioux interview

“…when I first saw [the New Warriors] in Thor I thought they were corny. The idea that Marvel even needed a team of teenagers was something that they didn’t need. That was DC’s shtick. The only one of them I thought was cool was Nova. He, along with Wolverine and the resurrection of Wonder Man was one of the seminal new characters of 70’s Marvel. But when I saw Mark Bagley’s incredible work on the New Warriors first issue and read Fabian writing, I was sold. So to more directly answer your question, I thought it was brilliant. It brought in an energy that didn’t rely on the legacies left by pre-established adult teams.”
Also: Are you a black fine artist (that is, painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, video, etc.) looking for some exposure? Check out this art contest. You could win as much as $3,000. (Thanks to Pam for the link.)
