Some may say there wasn’t a whole lot to see at this weekend’s Big Apple Comic Con. Mostly true, but did you know that Joe Mad and his Darksiders game were there? And they just announced the game’s official release date — no, it’s not in 2020! For those who missed it, we’ve got the walk-through video.
Granted, this is not a new vid by any means, but it had been so long since there’d been any real word on the game’s development and seeing how THQ has just announced the official release date and released some box art, we figured a refresher was in order.

We’ve always been fans of Joe Mad so here’s hoping Darksiders can undo some of the damage done as his return to comics, Ultimates 3 with Jeph Loeb, was far from the great comeback we’d all been hoping for.
More about Darksiders:
Featuring the unique art style of legendary comic book artist Joe Madureira, Darksiders puts players in the role of War, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Gamers will explore Earth set 100 years after the biblical Apocalypse, traveling through expansive dungeons, battling demons and angels and striking deals with unsavory characters in an epic quest to restore the balance between Heaven and Hell.

Joe Mad is an amazing talent, but he really should pick which industry he is going to work in. If this is a success, he should stay in video game designing. As an artist he made a manga-influced style X-Men and was a big success.
