Hi! im using one of my friends email addressess because i dont have one, but im a huge manga/anime fan. i love naruto and fruits basket (furuba), but i live in mississippi and the only major book stores we have are Spice of life and Bookland. i just heard about this i guess its not new, but series called Hell Girl. Can you tell me where i can find it. thanks!!!

In all the years I’ve shopped at The Strand, I never thought to look for manga there–I’m usually prowling their musicology aisle. Sounds like I’ll have to check it out.

The New York BookOff is really weird compared to Japanese ones, but it’s got a crazy-as-hell selection you can’t get in California. (Or so I’ve heard.)

The event was mostly invite only, but some random people were also there since the store was open. Only the press could take pictures, but I didn’t bring a camera, like an idiot. Fortunately, the other manga blogger people all took photos. I linked to some other sites with photos of the event.

I was just in Kinokuniya and saw the mural — I was like, did they get the actual artist to draw this?!? Because I absolutely love Vagabond! I really wish I had known about the event. I guess they didn’t let anyone take pictures inside?

Also, nice map! :)

PCS & Midtown do have a relationship, but it’s not an exclusive one ^^
