Thanks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Totally off the Glyph topic. I read your piece on TMNT and "for kids" as opposed to legitimate "all ages". I think that GAAK falls into the legitimate all ages category. Try this out. You and your kids all read the last, oh, 20 or so pages of the webcomic (or ANY 20 pages for that matter) and I'll bet you 5 bucks to a plug nickel you'll each enjoy it equally. That's GAAK. From 8 to 80, once you've tried it you'll like it because it's got something for everybody. Go ahead. Give it a try:

Gut reaction, really, and an admitted reach on my part. Kind of like the documentary short category at the Oscars, it's the one I'm the least informed about -- having only been familiar with Page prior to the nominations -- and my choosing Spike was a combination of my initial opinions on all of the work in question and a vague sense of their place in the collective consciousness.

If it helps, my pick last year for Rising Star (Mark & Mike Davis, Blokhedz), when I actually was a judge, didn't win.

Best of luck to you, and keep up the good work on GAAK.

I'm curious as to your reason for picking Spike and Templar, Arizona over the other "Rising Star" nominees? Just trying to see how you came to your decision.
