Gears of War Comes To The Big Screen

Variety is reporting that New Line Cinema has picked up the film rights to Gears of War. Stuart Beattie (Collateral, the upcoming 30 Days of Night) will be writing the screenplay.
Epic’s own Cliff Bleszinski will be the executive producer on the film. The project is currently scheduled to release in Summer 2009. No director has been pegged for the production as of yet.
