Ubisoft today announced that Assassin’s Creed II, released on November 17 in the United States, has moved 1.6 million units worldwide in the first week of release. Marking a 32 percent increase in the first week sales of the original Assassin’s Creed released in 2007, Ubisoft was quick to point out that the franchise remains the fastest selling new intellectual property videogame in the United States.
