Pushing Daisies writer/producer Bryan Fuller talks to Sci Fi Wire about his vision for a new Trek series, one that includes some surprising names for the lead role. Personally, I think any talk of a new Trek series, regardless of who would be the star, needs to wait until after the new movie opens. While early reviews are quite favorable, recasting the original series’ characters is still very much a gamble, and even if it is a success, who’s to say whether that success can carry over into a TV show? Still, I would gladly welcome a new series with a sister in the captain’s chair. But not Rosario Dawson.
